Do you need an individual's permission prior to verifying their identity?

An individual's permission is not needed to verify their identity using BlockScore.

In the United States, companies performing background checks must ask for explicit permission, by law, to access information stated in the Fair Credit Reporting Act, since a background check can be used to deny employment.

As BlockScore does not service these use cases (for instance, BlockScore cannot solely be used to make employment decisions), permission from the person in question is not required.
