What is knowledge-based authentication (KBA) and out-of-wallet questions?

Knowledge-based authentication (KBA) is a technique to determine if the person providing identity information knows other private information that the owner of the identity would know. This information is also called out of wallet because the questions asked cannot be answered with information contained in someone's wallet. BlockScore provides this service through question sets.

KBA has become the industry standard for helping to ensure the person providing identity information is the owner of the identity. For more information see knowledge-based authentication.
